10. Black Dahlia:
Elizabeth Short a 22 year old lady was murdered horribly in 1947 and her body was obtained sliced in two parts in the LA. A local resident named Betty Bersinger was the one to discover her body. Elizabeth was given a nickname “The Black Dahlia”. She was from America. This nick name was given in 1946 at a drugstore after the wordplay on “The Blue Dahlia” movie. While according to the reports of investigators originators of this nickname were newspaper journalists who covered the murder. A lot of speculations were spread and a large investigation was done to find out the murderer but murderer could not be found.
9. The Stonehenge:
The Stonehenge is an important monument of Britain. It is situated there from 5000 years. There are four stages in its construction. At Stonehenge we feel like we are driven miles through valleys and landscapes, till this weird structure is seen. Around Stonehenge a supernatural feel is present and there are also some signs which proof its presence. It is one of the most important mysteries. There are not enough evidences to clear whether Stonehenge was burial ground, temple or calendar.
8. The Loch Ness Monster:
The Loch Ness Monster is large ancient creature which is supposed to be living in a lake of fresh water named Loch Ness in Britain. In 1933 in inverness courier a story of a person named George Spicer got published. According to this story George Spicer saw a strange animal while crossing the road before his car. It moved on the way to the Loch Ness and broke all the bushes that came in its way. The Loch Ness Monster is captured in many photos and videos but they are not transparent enough to identify the creature.
7. The Mayan 2012 Prediction:
According to The Mayan 2012 Prediction 21 December 2012 will be the end of this world. Base of this theory is an astrological calendar created by the famous ancient Mayans. It states that in December the earth will be in a different astrological phase. This will cause something disastrous. There is no significant proof that will verify that this kind of prediction was done by Mayans. Purpose of these calendars was to keep a record of past time. They were not meant for the future prediction. Some people believe that this prediction was a forewarning of a disaster while other considers it just a misconception.
6. Zodiac Killer:
In the 1960’s in Northern California people were killed by Zodiac killer for almost 10 months. Five people were killed by him and two were injured. First two people were killed by a pistol in the border of Benicia. In Vallejo two people were tried to be killed by him. One of them died and other’s neck, head got injured badly due to gunshots still he survived. After 40 minutes a man called the police and disclosed himself as the killer. After one month police received a letter from the Zodiac Killer.
5. UFO And Area 51:
In 1878 first UFO was seen by a farmer in Texas. It was dark in color, circular in shape moving with a very high speed. A line of light aroused up and faded away in the sky was seen by a pilot in 1916 in the UK. In 1950 due to fiction theories UFO became popular. Many hypothetical theories such as aliens coming from different planet and explosion of aliens from a parallel space were given to explain this mystical event. Area 51 which is situated Nevada is the center of UFO theories. In 1989 it was disclosed that at Area 51 nine spaceships of UFO are under the custody of US authority and some skilful physicists are needed to operate them. It is certain that a secret army technology was developed at Area 51 by the government but possession of UFO by Area 51 is totally doubtful.
4. The Taos Hum:
The Taos Hum is a humming sound with a very low pitch of sound. It is like the sound of hazy diesel engine. People from various places particularly from north America, UK and New Zealand have reported the occurrence of this type of sound in the tacit environment .This sound even is not noticed by the audio devices such as antennae and microphones. Origin of this humming sound is still unknown and may be hypothetical. The people hearing this humming sound are referred as Hum. A team of scientists from research institutes is employed to find the cause of this weird sound in Taos in 1997.
3. Turin Shroud:
Turin Shroud is linen fabric which has picture of a person suffered from physical strain and died due to crucifixion. This shroud is kept safe in Turin in the cathedral of St John. The Shroud is considered to be the burial cloth that is placed on the Jesus Christ. A large number of searches are done to enlighten the origin of image on the shroud, but no one could explain it. Radiocarbon tests performed in 1988 on small pieces of shroud showed that they belong to middle ages. The shroud is one of the great unresolved and controversial mysteries in history.
2. Mary Celeste:
“Amazon” was Mary Celeste’s original name. In 1860 she was started in the Nova Scotia. In the December of 1972 this merchant ship was found stuck in the Atlantic sea. Despite of good weather and trained crew members ship was found drifted and crew members disappeared. After that they were never heard. All the belongings of the crew and travelers were intact and safe. In 1873 two boats were found at the beach in Spain. One boat had a body and a flag while other boat had five dead bodies. They were supposed to be the bodies of lost crew members of the ship Mary Celeste but there were no proves.
1. Bermuda Triangle:
A lot of boats, ships and aircrafts got vanished mysteriously in the marine. The area in the marine which is responsible for this is situated in between Florida, Bermuda and Puerto Rico in the ocean of Atlantic. A large number of crafts go through this area for shipping. In 1945 Howell Thompson and 27 people from Navy disappeared from their spot. After this incident the area is named as Bermuda Triangle. Natural disasters, error in equipments, bad weather and supernatural powers such as aliens were the base of many explanation theories for this vanishing. But significant records are present which discard all these theories. At present there is no justification for the disappearance of huge number of boats, ships and aircrafts.
