This time the people from the anonymous group managed to hack the Saudi Arabia’s national oil firm. The company later on confirmed that the main network service was hit by a malware. Due to this the Saudi Aramco website had to be shut down for some day during which the threat was neutralised.

9. Brazil Cyber Attack

The country Brazil faced one of the biggest online cyber-attack in June 2012. This Brazil cyber-attack is at the number ninth spot in our list of the top ten biggest hacking ever done by the anonymous group. The people from the anonymous group not only managed to hack the different websites belonging to the Brazilian government. The anonymous group then leaked the confidential personal data belonging to the top most people of the Brazilian government. Even the Brazilian government official website along with the website of the president of the Brazil was done for a day.

8. Hacking of MasterCard and Visa card

The hacking done by the anonymous group on the data of the MasterCard and Visa card is at the number eighth spot in our list of the top ten biggest hacking ever done by the anonymous group. Hackers supposedly based in the United States targeted the Visa card holders along with the people having the MasterCard. This notorious work was done in the month of April 2012. These people managed to collect the details of various users from a United States payment processor. The banks later on had to re issue the new cards to the user to counter attack this security breach.

7. Bank Cyber attack

The cyber-attack on the major banks of the United States is at the number seventh spot in our list. As many as five bank’s website named as Bank of America, Wells Fargo, United States Bank, JP Morgan Chase and PNC bank was hacked by the anonymous group for many times during the week and the bank had no idea about it. This incident happened in the month of September 2012. The experts have claimed this as one of the biggest cyber-attack that has been ever done. With the hacking of the bank website the people from the anonymous group managed to grab the highly confidential data of millions of customers belonging to these banks.

6. Hacking of ASIO and DSD

The hacking of the ASIO and DSD is at the number sixth spot in our list of the top ten biggest hacking done by the anonymous group. The anonymous group hacked the Australian Security Intelligence Organization (ASIO) and Defence Signals Directorate (DSD) websites. The hacking of the website of the agency which looked after the nation’s security is surely among the biggest hacking ever done. The people of this hacking group not only managed to down the website of Australian Security Intelligence Organization (ASIO) for rest of the day but also announced on Twitter about their plan to hack the Defence Signals Directorate (DSD) website.

5. Hacking Yahoo Accounts

One of the giant on the web, Yahoo also could not save itself from the attack of these Anonymous groups. The hacking of the Yahoo accounts by the anonymous group is at the number fifth spot in our list of the top ten biggest hacking ever done by the anonymous group. This anonymous group took responsibility of breaching into the Yahoo server and stealing very important data. They did it using a union based SQL injection and managed to expose more than 453,492 plain text login of the Yahoo users. Initially Yahoo said that there has been no such hack but then Yahoo later on confirmed that there was a hack into its database.

4. Hacking of PSN

Another case of hacking came into picture when the anonymous group claimed to have hacked the Play Station Network once again. Hacking of the play station network not only made the confidential detail of about ten million customers at risk but also lime lighted the fault into the play station network which could easily been hacked by the various notorious group. When the anonymous group hacked the play station network they managed to grab database containing the username and password of the various user and was of 50 GB in size.

3. DropBox Storage Accounts

DropBox which is an online files storing website was also attacked by the anonymous group when they managed to hack the website in the month of August 2012. The people from the anonymous group not only managed to grab the confidential details of the users but also made login from their account and did one or the other things. The parent company did the investigation about this hack for more than two weeks and then later on accepted that the username and password of various users were stolen and further was also used by the people of this anonymous group. The DropBox Company later on had to hire some outside people who neutralized the attack.

2. Hacking of PayPal Passwords

The hacking incident which is at the number second spot in our list is the hacking of PayPal passwords. In order to celebrate the Guy Fawkes Day which is celebrated on 5^th November, the anonymous group hacked as many as 28 thousands PayPal password which affected many people from round the globe. This incident was carried out when the anonymous group hacked one of the servers of the PayPal and from there they managed to steal these passwords, user information, their email address and other valuable information. This anonymous group then later on announced to the world about this hack on the Twitter. However the PayPal first claimed that there has been no such incident but later on they agreed.

GoDaddy is seen as one of the most used and also the biggest hosting provider on the internet. GoDaddy is the house of many websites which store their content on it. People from all over the world were in a state of shock when some anonymous group hacked the GoDaddy. Since GoDaddy is the largest domain registrar, it affected several other websites too on the web. This hacking was done in the month of September 2012. The GoDaddy server was severally damaged due to this and it failed to resolve the hack. So this hacking by the anonymous group is at the number one spot in our list of the top ten biggest hacking done by the anonymous group.

10. Security Pacific National Bank, US

Security Pacific National Bank was a bank situated in the United States and it had its headquarter at Los Angeles, California. This bank was later taken over by the Bank of America. This bank’s branch at Norco, California was robbed by a gang of five people on 9^th May 1980. All these five people were heavily armed with handguns, explosives devices and semi-automatic guns. These robbers got success in robbing the bank and counter attacked many police patrol cars. They even managed to blow one of the police helicopter. In the shootout two robbers were killed while the rest three were arrested and later on sentenced the life term by the court.

9. Banco Central, Brazil

The next biggest bank robbery in our list is the robbery that occurred on 6^th August 2005 at the Banco Central burglary at Fortaleza. In this robbery a whopping 71.6 million US dollars were looted by a gang of burglars. They made a tunnel into the bank so that the robbery could be carried out. This gang of burglars managed to grab as many as five containers which were having 50 real notes. The weight of these containers was about 3.5 tons. These burgles managed to disable the bank’s alarm and other sensors and gave this unbelievable work at the Banco Central. The bank people came to know about this only when the bank opened on Monday for usual business purpose.

8. The Knightsbridge Security Deposit, Knightsbridge

Knightsbridge Security Deposit robbery which was held on 12^th July 1987 in Knightsbridge, England is at the number eighth spot in our list of the top ten biggest bank robberies in the world. This bank robbery was masterminded by Valerio Viccei who was a professional robber. Valerio Viccei was a native of Italy and there in Italy he was convicted of 50 armed robberies. He later on fled to London. In London he managed to make a team to rob a bank in order to fund his playboy lifestyle. He was a son of a lawyer. In this robbery they robbers managed to get a whopping 98 million US dollars from the safety box deposit at the bank in Knightsbridge.

7. Robbery in Dar es Salaam, Baghdad

The robbery held at the Dar es Salaam in the year 2007. In this bank robbery a small private sector bank was looted by the gang of robbers. This bank robbery is also termed as one of the most unfortunate bank robbery that has been ever done on a small private sector bank. The bank is situated in Baghdad. This bank robbery was performed after the Saddam Hussein’s case was going on in Iraq. In this robbery the robbers managed to grab a whopping 300 million US dollars.

6. Harry Winston Heist, Paris

The Harry Winston Heist bank robbery which was performed in the year 2008 is at the number sixth spot in our list. This robbery was performed by a group of four people who managed to enter the most exclusive jewellery store of the Paris city and stole diamond worth rupees 108 million US dollars. This team of robbers also contained a woman and they were occupied with guns and hand grenade. This robbery took place in the South London when a group of robbers robbed the diamonds worth £200 m which were on display in a tourist attraction. The robbers were so brave that they made their way by smashing a JCB digger into the Millennium Dome. Further they had made a plan to fly using the speedboat in river Thames. But the brave London police somehow managed to stop this robbery and the robbery were caught.

Texas City Refinery Explosion occurred in the year 2005 when the BP’s refinery which is based in the Texas City catches fire due to explosion that happened in the refinery. As many as 15 workers of the company died within it and around 170 other were injures due to this accident. It is not hard to imagine the loss which occurred due to this accident as this refinery in Texas City is the third largest refinery in United States.  United States government imposed a huge fine on BP for violating various laws. 8. Three Mile Island Accident, United States (1979)

This another massive accident occurred in the Three Mile Island power plant which is situated in Pennsylvania, United States. The reason that what led to the dust explosion is still unknown to the world. Rescue work could not be carried out so effectively due to lack of trained professionals. Only 13 miners who were present inside the mine at the time of the accident survived this disaster.

5. Oppau Explosion, Germany (1921)

This huge explosion underwent in BASF plant which is in Oppau, Germany. This explosion happened on 21^st September 1921. A storing tank containing a mixture of Ammonium Nitrate and Ammonium Sulphate fertilizer blasted. All that people who were in the plant at the time of explosion died due to this. The explosion was so huge that its sound was heard at a distance of 300 kilometers away. All those buildings that were close to the plant were destroyed. There was a heavy loss of live and property due to this massive Industrial disaster.

4. Halifax Explosion, Canada (1917)

Halifax Explosion took place on 6^th December 1917 in a ship that was carrying wartime explosions. It was a cargo ship which was fully loaded with explosions. It is said to be the largest explosion that happened and destroyed everything. Around 2000 people were killed due to this accident. All those things that were near to the site of explosions were destroyed and affected. It is said that around 9000 people were injured because of this accident. The explosion was so huge that it affected properties that were a bit far from the accident site also.

3. Texas City Disaster, United States (1947)

Texas City Disaster is one of the most unfortunate accidents that happened on 16^th April 1947. This disaster is also one of the most brutal industrial accidents that happened in United States. A French vessel containing 2300 tons of Ammonium Nitrate exploded and that led to the massacre. Around 581 people were killed then and there. Many people got affected due to this collision. Many people got missing from the site where this disaster took place. It is said that over 5000 people got injured and many properties that were near to the dock were destroyed. It was later reported that property around 1.04 billion US dollars were destroyed because of this disaster.

2. Chernobyl Disaster, Ukraine (1986)

The Chernobyl Disaster took place in Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant which is in Ukraine. Till date this accident is considered as one of the biggest industrial disaster that ever happened. This accident happened on 26^th April 1986. Due to explosion which later resulted into fire in the Nuclear Power Plant, a large amount of radioactive gases got mixed into the air. Many people were evacuated from places that were near to the accident site. Many lost their life and property due to this disaster.  Still there are many people there who have diseases such as Cancer or are compelled to live their life with the deformity the got due to the accident. 1. Bhopal Gas Tragedy, India (1984)

The worst Industrial Disaster that shook people all over the world happened on the night of 2-3 December 1985. The Union Carbide India Limited which had its plant in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh was responsible for the accident. Due to the negligence of the company there was a leakage of Methyl Isocyanate gas. This toxic substance affected many people there in Bhopal. Official statement reports that around 3787 people died because of this disaster but there are many people who consider this to be a false number. Many more were injured or were attacked by on or the other disease because of this accident. Still today there are victims who are fighting for the compensation. This is surely one of the most brutal industrial disaster that happened.
