This one has been the most popular scam on Facebook so far. Who doesn’t need a free recharge, that too 500 bucks! Guys, there is no such thing as free recharge and this scam aims at various ways to target your facebook account or your privacy. Moreover, it spams your friends’ walls and inbox and also has the capability to get into your account and make certain changes which you would never like. If you see any such ads like free recharge, or free talk time, etc never go for them. They are simple tricks which you might fall prey for and get cheated

To sum up, as said earlier, safety of our Facebook account lies in our own hands and one small mistake of ours can lead to great mishaps and consequences. It is always advised to take a good look over irrelevant links before just clicking them and always prefer to keep the countermeasures handy with them to deal with such frauds, if they get into one. 8. LiveJournal

LiveJournal or most popularly known as LJ was started by an American programmer Brad Fitzpatrick in 1999.  But today, LJ is particularly famous in Russia and currently owned by SUP media. LJ allows its users to maintain a blog, journal or diary. This site is also famous among the Russian political pundits who use this platform to post their political commentary. An interesting thing about this site is that is allows ‘voice posts’ to their paid and sponsored users. You can call the system and record your entry as per your convenience.

7. DeviantArt

This site was launched on August 7, 2000 by Scott Jarkoff, Matthew Stephens, Angelo Sotira and others. The site is commonly known as dA. It has its headquarters at California and United States. Currently, it has a membership of 19 million people. dA is an excellent platform for all those artists who need a medium to showcase their work to the entire world. Although this site is new in the field of social networking, it already has 250 million registered users. Launched in June, 2011, this site is owned by Google Inc. Like any other site, it took time for GooglePlus to gain popularity, and in October 2011 there was an outburst of registered users on this site. You can add your friends in your ‘circle’, play games, upload your pictures instantly, and you can also enjoy the new features with your mobile. Like Googleplus, Pinterest is also one of the newer websites and it was launched in 2010. It is social photo sharing site and it operates in the style of pin-board. Pinterest is managed by Cold Brew Labs with the help from some small scale entrepreneurs. The main aim of Pinterest is to “connect everyone in the world through the ‘things’ they find interesting”. Linkedin was founded in December 2002 and was launched in March 2003. It is a social networking site which is basically for professional people. You can upload your resume on the site which is very helpful for finding jobs. You can also design your own profile and make it attractive so that it contributes to your resume and you can get a job more easily. You can follow the posts of companies and get notifications about new job offers and other incentives.

‘The SMS of the internet’ is the most appropriate words to define this site. This site was launched in 2006 by Jack Dorsey and it has a current membership of 500 million users. The messages or tweets have definite word limit. The concept of twitter revolves mainly around the followers. Twitter defines the effectiveness of small messages and it does it beautifully.

YouTube is the most popular video sharing website which was launched in 2005. It is also a California based company. Founded by Mark Zuckerberg, today Facebook stands as the king of all social networking sites. It has a membership of more than 900 million users. Today, every person has a Facebook account, whether you are a student, a business man, parent of four children or a child who has just celebrated his 10^th birthday. You can see your friend’s ‘wall’, post a comment there, upload photos, tag your friends in them, play different kind of games and the list goes on. There is an endless list of the stuff which you can do on Facebook. Yes! you read that right. You might not know it but even she has bad grades, she reads the books that interest her. Get a good book that suits her personality or choose the obvious ones like  “The Twilight Saga”. Even if she is not much of a reader, she will surely cherish her prized possession and since you gave it to her, it has additional meaning.

As girls love shopping, they all have a fetish for shoes and handbags.
