Throughout the eighteenth century there was little criticism of slavery in France.  The national assembly took a long debate that whether the rights of man should be curbed or it should be given to man for his betterment.But they didn’t pass any laws . It as finally the convention which in 1794 legislated to free all slaves. However this turned out to be a short-term measure, ten year later Napoleon reintroduced Slavery. The plantation owners also understand  the importance of their freedom and fight for them and the right to enslave African Negros. Slavery ended after the end of Nazi party and Napoleon in 1815
