When it comes to PC gaming, gamers would obviously like to play games with excellent game-play, innovations, graphics and others. The number of PC Gamers is ever increasing and their interests and choices are also ever changing. In this article, I have come up with a list of the top 10 PC Games of 2012, keeping in mind the gamers only. Short reviews of the top 10 highly recommended PC games are presented here.
If you are a kind of gamer who loves shooter games, Red 5 Studios’ Firefall is for you only. One best thing about this game is that you need not pay for playing. You can play it with your friends or with the system itself. There are several classes provided by the game and you can switch between these different classes any time you want. Your fighter could also be customized with the variety of options and elements provided by this game. The shooting things in the game are the centre of attraction.
9. Prey 2
There are some PC Gamers who do not like to play multi-player games. For them, Prey 2 would be the best option. If you are that kind of a player, I would suggest you to try playing Prey 2 at least once. For those players who did not like playing as the protagonist Tommy as in the original Prey game, Prey 2 has brought a good news, Human Head Studios has made it possible for you to play the role of Killian Samuels. It would be fun playing as a character that was dropped on Exodus. The gadgets and weapons used by the shooter are very powerful and this game is mightier than the original Prey in almost all senses.
Bluehole Studio’s game Tera is a nice change to the games in which you just watch your character bringing down the health bar of your enemy suddenly as you keep on clicking on the MMOs. Now you need not worry if your enemy has targeted you. Targeting you would not mean that the enemy can just hit you and you keep on losing the game. Tera provides you an opportunity to save your character. As long as your character remains untouched by the enemy’s axe, you are safe and nothing is going to happen to your own health bar. Rather than a hitting game, this game can be considered as a fighting game or a striking game against the monsters.
7. Borderlands 2:
Have you ever wanted to rob a bank or pick a pocket? If your answer is yes, Borderlands 2 is a game that would make you perfect to do the same. This loot game is at 7th position in the top 10 PC Games of 2012, so there must be some reason behind it. There would be four classes of the characters in the game. 6. XCOM: Enemy Unknown
Firaxis has introduced a new XCOM game – Enemy Unknown. The game is almost similar to the original version. The only difference made is in the game play and the major advantage this version offers is that this game could be played not only on PCs, but also on the consoles. The turn based combat has various sessions. You can switch to real time in between the various sessions of the combat. This game is on the 6th position in our list and the developers are expecting it to still move upwards.
5. Mass Effect 3:
On the 5th position, we have a science fiction game – the Mass Effect 3. This game is a fight between the Commander Shepard and the Reapers who are trying to destroy the Earth. The strength of this game is basically its awesome story and the perfect interaction between various characters. Mass Effect 3 is definitely much better than the Mass Effect 2 as well as the Mass Effect 1 as it has better customization options. Advancement in the world of Mass Effect that has come up with the introduction of Mass Effect 3 is that now the game could also be played in the multi-player mode. This is to be noted here that it is still not mandatory to play the game in multi-player mode. You can still stick to the old single-player version of the game.

BioShock Infinite, being at 4th position in our list of the top 10 PC Games, is an amazing game, no doubt. If you are a kind of PC Gamer who loves to explore newer stories, BioShock Infinite would serve to be your cup of tea. Not only the story but the game play is also awesome. If you think it is easy, try the game first. There would be a number of difficulties in your way, which you will definitely enjoy. In this game, the most stupefying part is that the main character, that is, Booker DeWitt is not silent but a speaking character. You would see him talking to Elizabeth and other characters as well
3. Star Craft II: Heart of the Swarm
After the Wings of Liberty, Heart of the Swarm is the next big online task created by Star Craft II. Your real strategy building skills are recognised through this game itself. The three armies of this game Star craft – the Zerg, the Terran and the Protoss would be the same but this time, they are a bit modified in terms of power and weapons.
